33 Hidden gems: Travel guides

After living in each of the places below, my wish in creating these guides is to give you direct
access to the more authentic locally loved places that most tourists never get to see

Berlin, Germany

33 local experiences. I’ve tried hundreds of places across 10 years living in Berlin. And these spots made it to my favourites list.

Kayley J

“Hi just wanted to give a review of the Berlin guide I purchased. I found it so helpful. I was solo travelling and wanted to experience more local culture than tourist places. I loved the fact that you individually reviewed different areas of Berlin as this allowed me to easily find the true non touristic beauty of Berlin ❤️ Thank you”

Daniela

“It’s super beautiful! 🌼 The tip for the ticket app was just what I needed and I also absolutely loved the tea place and other cafes you included. Thank you so much!”

Katarina

“Hey! Just wanted to say I was in Berlin this weekend and I bought your guide and it helped a lot! I used to live in Berlin 2014-2015 so I knew the city pretty well, but thanks to you I went to Number 29 (amazing!) and I spent bit more time in Prenzi and loved it! You really put an effort in this guide and it shows!”

Hoi An, Vietnam

33 hidden spots after four months living in Hoi An. This is an opportunity to go beyond the touristy spots (Ancient Town) and experience the lesser-known places you won’t easily find online.

Steph

“Was so thrilled to stumble upon Paris’ page. I was really intrigued by her posts and subsequently purchased the Hoi An guide. We’re off to Vietnam in a few weeks and I’m so excited to dive into all the information she’s recommended, it’s so thoughtful and beautifully presented. I know I’d never find these places alone online. It’ll be the non-tourist exploration we are craving!”

Caroline F

“First I really have to thank you! I had the best experience in Hoi An, liked every single spot you recommended and tried out a lot. After the busy cities of Vietnam it was really the perfect way to slow down and experience the unique/not so touristy Hoi An, rather than the typical places that are recommended by the basic websites and Taxi drivers. Paris’ recommendations offered exactly the experience she promises you to have, in my opinion. I cannot even highlight places I liked the most.”

Odette

“Hi there 👋 I wanted to say a huge thank you for your Hoi An guide I bought. We arrived tonight and headed straight to Number 6! What a gem of a place. My family were most impressed that I ‘knew’ of this spot. I had to come clean and admit to having your super helpful insiders guide to help! Thanks again!”

Ubud, Bali

33 insider tips after 8 months living in Ubud. This guide will allow you to move from one soulful experience to another as if you too, have been living there for months already.

Sára

“Hi Paris! I have just been to the Balinese healer today and I would like to express how thankful I am for connecting us. He really has a gift. I said that if the only thing I did in Bali was to visit him, my trip would be worth it. Thank you, thank you ❤️ I’ve also used your guide for some coffee spots in Ubud and they were all top notch.”

Marco

“Thank you very much for everything!!! After already buying/using your Hoi An guide, I went on to Bali and bought this too. Once again it was amazing. Thank you 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻”

Tanya

“The Ubud guide came to me and I feel like I manifested it just in time for my trip the Ubud. What you said about not making it a to-do list and just going with the flow and seeing what the adventure brings is so true. I appreciated the balance of cafes and healing activities—a true guide for those seeking the eat, pray, love experience. Love and light, B x”

Oaxaca City, Mexico

These are all the places I kept going back to during three months living in Oaxaca City. A mix of local, beautiful and gems that are not yet even on Google Maps

Sylvia

This is the second guide I bought from Paris, this time, Oaxaca!! I LOVED IT! As a slow traveler and digital nomad myself, i can always trust the insights and knowledge of Paris. She put so much love into it! I highly recommend checking the guide out if you are heading to any of this beautiful locations!”

Taylor

“Just read through your guide in its entirety last night — I am so PUMPED! I feel like you put such a thoughtful list together, and I love how to really seem to care about the city and its people and its culture. So excited to learn more. PS. you are stunningly beautiful!”

Paris, France

33 lesser-known gems after one year living in Paris and frequently visiting over the last decade. Leave the typical guidebook recommendations behind and experience Paris in a way few tourists do.

What I really enjoy about spending more time in one place is that you truly get to immerse yourself in the local life and experience what it’s like to live there. It also means that you have the time to develop a firm bank of favourite places…you know, the spots you end up going back to again and again, gems that are lesser known and aren’t lively with tourists. If this is your style, I am positive you’ll love these spots too!
